Water Data Prize uses cookies for one purpose: counting visits with Google Analytics. They are set only after you press Accept.

Before you choose

On your first visit a banner at the foot of the screen offers Accept and Reject. Until you pick one, no analytics code runs and no cookie is placed. The pages read just the same whichever you pick.

Cookies set after Accept

• _ga: a random number that lets Google Analytics tell one browser from another, so a reader is counted once. It lasts 2 years.
• _ga_4YCW2N3J9B: keeps track of the current visit for this site's statistics. It lasts 2 years.

Both belong to Google Analytics and are read by it alone. The privacy policy explains what the statistics are used for and how long they are kept.

The record of your choice

Your answer to the banner is saved in your own browser's local storage, under the name ne-consent, so the banner does not come back on every page. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to us, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Changing your mind

Use the button below to bring the banner back and pick again. Choosing Reject after Accept stops the statistics and removes the analytics cookies from this browser.
