reThought Flood Expands Private Flood Distribution
Private flood insurance distribution expands as reThought Flood joins Vertafore’s PL Rating network of more than 10,000 agents.
Vertafore will connect reThought Flood with independent agencies through its PL Rating platform, expanding access to private flood insurance. The platform connects more than 10,000 agents with more than 320 carriers and managing general agencies. Agents completed 6.8 million flood transactions through PL Rating in 2025. The agreement gives reThought Flood access to agencies already quoting personal lines coverage.

PL Rating allows agents to quote and compare personal lines coverage for clients.

Flood Coverage Availability
Recent changes to FEMA’s flood maps have placed thousands more residential properties within the high-risk Special Flood Hazard Area. PL Rating gives agents access to private flood quotes while rating other personal lines risks.
