AquaAction Selects 10 Water Tech Companies for Michigan
AquaEntrepreneur Michigan selects 10 water technology companies for a 10-month commercialization program with pilot opportunities.

AquaAction has selected 10 companies for AquaEntrepreneur Michigan, its first US program under the commercialization initiative. The 10-month program will provide customized coaching, technical guidance and guaranteed opportunities to pilot technologies in real-world settings. The cohort includes companies working in industrial water treatment, PFAS remediation, water-quality monitoring, aquatic robotics and environmental sensing. It was announced at the Michigan Blue Economy Summit, held in partnership with the University of Michigan-Flint.
Ten Companies Join Cohort
The selected companies are Accelerated Filtration, Inc., AmHyTech Inc., DMR International Inc., Geomind operating as Lacuum, Green Steel Environmental, Myconaut, Nucleic Sensing Systems, Radmantis, Sequestro, Inc. and Subtidal, Inc.
Their offerings include automated filtration for industrial water and wastewater, pathogen and biofilm control, autonomous freshwater monitoring robots, phosphorus and sulfur removal from wastewater, PFAS remediation, field-ready biosensors, underwater imaging and solar-powered water-quality monitoring buoys.

Deployment Partners Support Pilots
The Michigan program relies on strategic partners including the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Urban Tech Xchange, the University of Michigan Office of Economic Development and Community Engagement, Friends of the Rouge, the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative, the Great Lakes Water Authority and the Detroit Wayne County Port Authority. The organizations will support deployment of the selected technologies as the companies scale their businesses.
AquaEntrepreneur Michigan is supported by the Michigan Mobility Funding Platform through a Maritime Innovation Grant. The program is part of AquaAction’s binational work in the Great Lakes St. Lawrence region and is the first US expansion of its flagship commercialization program.

Program Record To Date
AquaAction reports that its AquaEntrepreneur program has supported 72 companies, secured more than 550 pilot projects and contracts, and generated more than CAD $260 million in revenue. The organization also reports CAD $50 million in new public and private contracts and water savings equivalent to more than 140,000 Olympic-sized swimming pools.
