Invicti Security is offering qualifying U.S. water utilities three months of complimentary access to its application security platform, including guided onboarding and support from an Invicti engineer. The program is designed to identify web applications and APIs, including unknown internet-facing assets, and help teams focus on exploitable vulnerabilities. It follows FBI and EPA warnings on cyberattacks targeting internet-connected operational technology at U.S. water utilities. The offer addresses the web-facing systems used for monitoring, management, and integration, which can form part of a utility’s attack surface.

Focus On Web Exposure

Through the three-month engagement, qualifying utilities can inventory web applications and APIs, scan those systems for security weaknesses, and distinguish exploitable vulnerabilities from false positives. Invicti will also provide guidance as teams scope, configure, test, and interpret the results from their application and API assessments.

Priyank Savla, VP at Invicti, said:

“Defense in depth cannot stop at the network perimeter. Web applications and APIs are an attack path that critical-infrastructure operators cannot afford to ignore. They deserve the same continuous attention as the infrastructure behind them, because you cannot defend what you cannot see.”

Support For Utility Teams

The platform is intended to help utility security teams find internet-facing assets that may not already be known to the organization, confirm which security issues require action, and reduce time spent investigating false positives. Eligibility is limited to qualifying organizations, and operators can contact Invicti to request access and confirm eligibility.

Priyank Savla, VP at Invicti, added:

“Our goal is to help water utilities get a clearer picture of their web application and API exposure without adding more noise to already-demanding response efforts. We want teams to know what is exposed, understand which issues are real, and have practical support as they work to reduce risk.”

Three Months Of Access

Invicti’s offer gives qualifying U.S. water utilities a defined period to assess web application and API exposure with engineering support. The program arrives as operators face warnings about disruptions that can result from compromises of internet-connected systems.
