LabWare Launches Compliance Platform for Utilities
LabWare WATER is a cloud compliance platform for smaller municipal utilities, combining sampling, testing, records, and reporting.

LabWare has launched LabWare WATER, a cloud-based compliance management platform for smaller municipal water utilities. The software brings sampling, laboratory testing, compliance documentation, and regulatory reporting into one SaaS system. It is designed for utilities that test samples in-house, use contract laboratories, or combine both approaches. LabWare will demonstrate the platform at WEFTEC 2026 in New Orleans at Booth #8612.
One System for Compliance
LabWare WATER connects sampling schedules, field collection, laboratory workflows, results review, reporting, and historical records. The platform is intended to reduce the administrative burden associated with spreadsheets, paper records, and disconnected systems.
Utilities can plan monthly, quarterly, annual, and event-driven sampling requirements; document chain of custody; track samples through laboratory testing; and identify exceedances, missing results, overdue samples, and reporting deadlines. The system also centralizes records, laboratory results, and audit-ready reports.
Chris Drillenburg, LabWare WATER Solution Owner at LabWare, said:
“Water utilities face increasing regulatory demands while working with limited resources. LabWare WATER gives utilities an affordable, purpose-built solution that helps teams spend less time managing paperwork and more time protecting the communities they serve.”
Built for Smaller Utilities
The new product is designed specifically for smaller municipal water utilities. LabWare positions the platform as a faster-deployment option within its portfolio of industry-focused SaaS products, while retaining the flexibility and scalability expected from the LabWare platform.
Chris Drillenburg, LabWare WATER Solution Owner at LabWare, added:
“Many small and mid-sized utilities recognize the need to modernize compliance processes but struggle to justify the complexity and cost of traditional enterprise systems. LabWare WATER provides a practical path forward, helping utilities remain audit-ready, reduce administrative workload, and focus more of their resources on delivering safe, reliable water to their communities.”
WEFTEC Debut
LabWare WATER will make its industry debut at WEFTEC 2026, where LabWare plans live demonstrations focused on compliance workflows and regulatory requirements. More information is available at www.labware.com/WATER.
