SOCO Launches DAMSEALER for Pond Leak Sealing
DAMSEALER polymer from SOCO is designed to seal leaks in farm ponds, earth dams, reservoirs and soil-lined water structures.

SOCO has introduced DAMSEALER, a granular polymer for sealing leaks in earth dams, farm ponds, reservoirs and soil-lined water structures. The product is applied at a recommended rate of 1 kg per 10 m² of treatment area, adjusted for leakage severity, water depth, salinity and soil conditions. DAMSEALER absorbs water and swells to fill seepage channels, soil pores and localized leakage points. It is designed for agricultural and municipal operators seeking to reduce seepage and water loss.
Seepage Control Applications
The polymer is intended for leak sealing in earth dams and farm ponds, seepage control in reservoirs and irrigation ponds, treatment of dam cracks, and sealing soil-lined basins, channels and other water-retaining structures. SOCO also lists preventive maintenance for new dam construction projects among its applications.
For water-filled structures, operators can distribute granules over suspected leakage areas using manual spreaders, boats or drones. In dry applications, the material is spread over compacted soil, covered with 2-3 cm of topsoil and then refilled with water.
Granule Design And Packaging
DAMSEALER uses 20-100 mesh granules designed to settle into soil fractures and pores, including in coarse, rocky or sandy soils. SOCO says the swollen material forms a flexible water-retaining layer and maintains stability under hydraulic pressure.
The product is supplied in 20 kg kraft paper bags or 800 kg jumbo bags with PE moisture-proof liners. It has a stated shelf life of 24 months when stored in cool, dry and well-ventilated conditions.
Water Storage Maintenance
Founded in 2009, SOCO develops water-absorbing and retention materials for agricultural, industrial and infrastructure applications. DAMSEALER adds a surface-applied option for operators maintaining ponds, dams and soil-lined storage systems where seepage can reduce available water.
