Astara Acquires Dynatec Systems
Astara acquires Dynatec Systems, a New Jersey provider of membrane-based industrial wastewater treatment and water reuse systems.

Astara Capital Partners has acquired Dynatec Systems, a Burlington, New Jersey provider of membrane-based industrial wastewater treatment systems and aftermarket services. Financial terms were not disclosed. Dynatec, founded in 1978, designs, builds, operates and services systems for industrial wastewater discharge and water reuse. Its customers operate across food and beverage, automotive, data center, waste and general manufacturing markets.
Expansion Plans For Treatment Services
Astara plans to invest in Dynatec’s team, expand its design-build-own-operate-maintain model and build its aftermarket service capabilities. The investor also intends to move into adjacent technologies and additional end markets for industrial water and wastewater treatment.
Dynatec specializes in membrane filtration for hard-to-treat industrial waste streams. The company’s systems support treatment for discharge and water reuse.
Leadership After The Deal
Hu Fleming, a water industry leader and Astara strategic advisor, will join Dynatec’s Board of Directors as Executive Chairman. Founder and President Tom Doherty will remain with the business and retain a meaningful ownership stake.
