Poolking Expands Fiberglass Filtration for Aquatics
Poolking fiberglass filtration supports large aquatic projects with vessels up to 3 meters in diameter and working pressure ratings of 2.5 to 4.0 bar.

Poolking is extending fiberglass filtration technology into large-scale aquatic water treatment, offering bobbin-wound vessels up to 3 meters in diameter and rated for 2.5 to 4.0 bar working pressure. The China-based manufacturer targets water parks, artificial lagoons, aquariums, public aquatic facilities and other commercial projects. Its filters are designed for systems circulating tens of thousands of cubic meters of water. Poolking positions the lower weight and inherent corrosion resistance of fiberglass as an alternative to stainless-steel tanks for transport, installation and long-term operation.
Fiberglass Vessels for Commercial Systems
Poolking’s bobbin-wound sand filters use continuous filament winding, a composite pressure-vessel manufacturing method. Fiberglass rovings are wound under tension around a rotating mold until the vessel wall reaches its intended thickness, then cured to form a composite shell.
The company said the process produces even wall thickness and corrosion resistance derived from the material rather than a protective coating. It applies the approach to commercial pool and aquatic filtration, where stainless-steel tanks have traditionally been selected for structural performance.
Victor P., General Manager of Poolking, said:
“Commercial filtration systems are evaluated very differently today than they were a decade ago. Hydraulic performance remains fundamental, but engineers are increasingly assessing the complete lifecycle of a filtration vessel, from manufacturing and transportation to installation, maintenance and long-term operation. Material selection has become part of the engineering conversation because it affects far more than the equipment itself.”
Water Use and Project Requirements
Equipment selection is also shaped by water efficiency. A World Bank report on water reuse states that global reuse capacity has roughly tripled over the past two decades and is continuing to grow at nearly 7 percent a year.
Alongside its sand filters, Poolking offers a Perlite Filter, a regenerative media filtration system designed to reach filtration precision of up to 1 micron while reducing water consumption. Its broader portfolio includes circulation pumps, variable-frequency pump technology, disinfection systems and LED underwater lighting.
Supply Across Aquatic Projects
Poolking has supplied large-volume sand filtration systems for marine-life parks in southern and eastern China, ozone reactor orders for multiple marine park projects, and filtration equipment for zoo and aquarium facilities in Europe. The company’s project cases span tourism, marine life support and public aquatic infrastructure.
Application requirements vary significantly across aquatic projects. Water parks require continuous circulation at high visitor loads, while aquariums and aquaculture facilities require stable water quality control.
Manufacturing and International Supply
Poolking has more than 21 years of manufacturing experience and operates about 60,000 square meters of production facilities in Guangdong, China. Its production operations include bobbin winding, robotic spraying, CNC-controlled winding and precision water-jet cutting.
The company states that every export product receives 100% factory testing before shipment and that products supplied internationally comply with CE and ISO certification requirements. Poolking supplies fiberglass sand filters, commercial filters, filtration systems and integrated pool water treatment systems to customers in more than 70 countries and regions.
