VODA.ai has launched VODA.ai Meters, a revenue recovery tool designed to help water utilities identify meters that may be under-registering consumption. The software ranks meters for investigation and replacement by the volume and revenue at risk. Developed with a large, nationally recognized U.S. water utility, the product extends VODA.ai’s decision-support software into meter fleet intelligence. It is aimed at public and private utilities, engineering firms, and consultants working on meter replacement, advanced metering infrastructure, non-revenue water, and revenue recovery programs.

Meter Data and Revenue Risk

VODA.ai Meters uses utility data, workflows, and operational feedback to help users target apparent water losses in their meter fleets. The company positions the product as a way to support more defensible decisions on meter investigations, replacements, and capital allocation.

George Demosthenous, CEO at VODA.ai, said:

“Utilities are under enormous pressure to do more with limited resources. They often lose revenue quietly for years. VODA.ai Meters gives utilities a data-driven way to prioritize the right meters for investigation and replacement.”

Infrastructure Funding Pressure

The launch comes as utilities face substantial infrastructure funding needs. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency estimates that drinking water systems will require $625 billion in infrastructure investment over the next 20 years. The American Water Works Association’s 2026 State of the Water Industry Report identifies infrastructure renewal and replacement as the top challenge for water professionals, followed by financing those upgrades.

For many utilities, VODA.ai says, the opportunity to improve financial resilience may already exist inside their meter data.

Expanding Utility Decision Support

VODA.ai supports utilities with predictive analytics for pipe risk, meter accuracy, capital planning, lead service line management, and other infrastructure decisions. With VODA.ai Meters, the company is adding a dedicated tool for identifying potential meter under-registration and prioritizing action across a meter fleet.
