Chicago Faucets will introduce CF Connect PLUS at the 2026 Healthcare Facilities Innovation Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota, August 2-5. The connected water management platform automates hygiene flushing, monitors point-of-use water temperature, and creates digital records for facility water management programs. A single Gateway can connect up to 30 wired HyTronic fittings or up to 10 Bluetooth fittings. The company will demonstrate the system at Booth 907.

Facility Wide Water Monitoring

CF Connect PLUS extends the company’s CF Connect mobile app from individual fitting configuration and diagnostics to centralized monitoring, automation, and reporting across a facility. It connects with Building Automation Systems through BACnet/IP and uses a dedicated CF Connect ID and password for each device.

The platform records hygiene flushing, maintenance activities, configuration backups, and compliance reporting without subscriptions or recurring monthly fees. Chicago Faucets positions the system for healthcare facilities seeking more consistent execution and documentation of their existing water management programs.

Greg Hunt, Chicago Faucets Commercial Product Manager, explained:

“We are building on the company's CF Connect mobile app which enables wireless configuration and adjustability of HyTronic® touchless fittings. CF Connect PLUS expands those capabilities with facility-wide monitoring, automation, centralized management through a building management system, and compliance-ready reporting,”

Automated Hygiene Flushing

CF Connect PLUS is designed to support water movement in low-use areas, while giving facility teams continuous visibility into connected faucet performance. Its temperature-sensing angle stop adapters provide real-time monitoring at the point of use, alongside automated hygiene flushing intended to help reduce stagnation.

These functions address conditions that can contribute to waterborne pathogen risks, including stagnation, temperature fluctuations, and microbial growth. The digital documentation supports recordkeeping practices referenced in ASHRAE Standard 188, ASHRAE Standard 514, CMS Memo QSO-17-30 and F-Tag 441, The Joint Commission Standard EC.02.05.02, the FGI Guidelines, VHA Directive 1061, and CDC guidance for reducing Legionella risk in building water systems.

Greg Hunt, Commercial Products Manager at Chicago Faucets, said:

“Healthcare facilities are being asked to do more than ever to document water management activities while protecting patients and operating efficiently. CF Connect PLUS helps simplify that process by bringing automation, continuous monitoring, and digital documentation together in one connected platform that supports the water management programs facilities already have in place.”

Digital Records For Healthcare Teams

For facility teams, the platform is intended to reduce reliance on manual flushing procedures and automatically generate records of flushing activities and system events. The system's documentation can assist teams in maintaining records, improving response times, and supporting broader building management initiatives.

Chicago Faucets will offer live demonstrations at HFIC 2026, allowing attendees to review its connected approach to routine water management activities and compliance documentation.
