Phyn has introduced an expanded water monitoring and protection portfolio for homes, larger residential properties, and commercial buildings. The lineup includes Phyn Protect, Phyn Assist, and the Phyn Protect XL Series, with sensing for supply lines up to 2 inches and AI trained on more than 4 billion water events. The company is also powering all three tiers of Asurion’s LeakProtect offerings and has launched a Partner Advantage Program for insurance agencies, brokers, and carriers. The changes position Phyn’s products across DIY monitoring, whole-home automatic shutoff, and larger-property applications.

Three Products for Water Protection

Phyn Protect succeeds Phyn Plus as the company’s flagship whole-home monitoring device. It retains high-definition pressure and ultrasonic flow sensing, plus automatic shutoff capability, in a redesigned enclosure with refinements intended to improve quality and durability.

Phyn Assist is a low-cost option without automatic shutoff. It connects to a washing machine’s cold-water supply line and uses pressure sensing and AI-powered intelligence to monitor plumbing across a home for running toilets, dripping faucets, pinhole leaks, and burst pipes.

The Phyn Protect XL 1.5 and Phyn Protect XL 2 extend the technology to larger homes, multifamily properties, and commercial sites with supply lines up to 2 inches.

Ryan Kim, CEO at Phyn, said:

“Insurance carriers are looking for practical, scalable ways to move from reacting to water damage to preventing it, and Phyn is uniquely positioned to help them make that shift. Our expanded portfolio gives insurers and their agency partners a comprehensive range of intelligent water protection solutions for more homes and properties, with simple installation, low upfront costs, and flexible subscription models. By making proactive water monitoring and protection easier to deploy, we're helping insurers strengthen policyholder relationships while addressing one of the most common and costly sources of loss.”

Insurance Program and Asurion Offering

The new Partner Advantage Program provides insurance partners with onboarding, referral benefits, insurance-specific training, co-branded marketing resources, sales tools, a dedicated Partner Portal, and product education and support.

Phyn now supplies the technology for Asurion’s full LeakProtect lineup. Phyn Assist is used for LeakProtect Essential, Phyn Protect for LeakProtect Standard, and Phyn Protect XL for LeakProtect XL. Phyn said it is the only provider spanning all three tiers of the program.

Focus on Earlier Intervention

The expanded portfolio offers insurers and property owners options ranging from self-installed whole-home monitoring to devices with automatic shutoff and coverage for larger supply lines. Jonathan Scott, an investor and board member at Phyn, is scheduled to appear on the Main Stage at InsureTech Connect on October 1, followed by a meet-and-greet at the company’s booth.

Jonathan Scott, entrepreneur, home renovation expert, and CEO of Scott Brothers Global, said:

“The home of the future isn't just going to be smarter, it's going to be more resilient. I've seen how vulnerable a property can be to something as simple as a hidden leak, and I've also seen how technology can change that equation. Phyn gives homeowners a simple, affordable way to know what's happening with their water and take action before a small problem becomes a major loss. As the industry rethinks how homes are built and protected, proactive technologies like Phyn need to be part of that conversation.”
